Abstract No. 385 Cryoablation of vascular anomalies
Percutaneous cryoablation (PCA) is a growing treatment option for patients with vascular malformations and vascular tumors, but studies have included a limited number of patients. In this case series we describe the safety, techniques, and clinical successes of 6 patients undergoing PCA for various vascular anomalies.

Single-center comparison of the efficacy and complications of arterial vascular closure devices in interventional radiology.
CONCLUSIONS: In our single-center institutional experience, Angio-Seal is the device with the best technical success rate. Major complications of VCDs were rare, with no statistically significant difference between devices. PMID: 28665467 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

External validation of the Vascular Study Group of New England carotid endarterectomy risk predictive model using an independent U.S. national surgical database
Previously, we described a Vascular Study Group of New England (VSGNE) risk predictive model to predict composite adverse outcomes (postoperative death, stroke, myocardial infarction, or discharge to extended care facilities) after carotid endarterectomy (CEA). The goal of this study was to externally validate this model using an independent database.

Severe forms of food allergy.
CONCLUSION: Severe food allergy may occur in the form of anaphylaxis and food-protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome, which are increasingly observed in the pediatric emergency room; hence, pediatricians must be alert so they can provide the immediate diagnosis and treatment. A meta-analysis of outcomes of catheter-directed thrombolysis for high- and intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism
Conclusions Catheter thrombolysis has high clinical success rates in both high- and intermediate-risk PE, but higher mortality and bleeding rates should be anticipated in high-risk PE. Ultrasound-assisted thrombolysis may be more effective than standard CDT in the higher risk population.

Molecular Changes in miRNA in Irradiated Rat Kidneys: Role of miR-34a and its Vascular Targets in the Notch Pathway
In conclusion, the results of this study showed that radiation greatly increased miRNA34-a in rat kidneys, while lisinopril mitigated radiation-induced decrease of the Notch ligand, Jagged1, a molecular target of miRNA34-a.PMID:34330145 | DOI:10.1667/RADE-20-00078.1
